Why are DPIL books printed in China instead of the USA?

The Imagination Library relies on operating partners to meet targeted program costs for each country where we operate, which allows the most children to receive free books through our locally funded affiliates.  Our operating partners make decisions internally on what is necessary to meet the targeted program costs.
