How do I submit a book for the program?

Thank you for your interest in our work with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and for your interest in having your book in the program. As you may imagine, we receive many requests to consider great books. We use Penguin Random House as our exclusive publishing partner to supply Imagination Library books. The Imagination Library is selected each year by a blue ribbon panel of early childhood experts and authors - the Blue Ribbon Book Selection Committee. We fly them in once a year and they go through hundreds of books to select age-appropriate titles for the following year's lineup.

We order and mail 3 million books per month to children from birth to age 5 all across the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland and Australia and are growing every day. In order to accomplish this, we have an exclusive partnership with Penguin Random House to provide all of our titles; in fact, they print each month exclusively for the Imagination Library and customize the books with reading tips, logo, etc. This unique relationship allows us to ensure sufficient quantities each month and keep our costs extremely low, in addition to access to an incredible selection of titles. Unfortunately, due to the exclusive partnership, we are not able to consider books that are self-published or published by other organizations.
