Canva Changes Starting June 2, 2025

Canva Templates are an essential part of ensuring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and all of its Local Program Partners maintain consistent branding. Starting June 2, 2025, Canva Template Links will become a Canva Pro feature.

This change means that to access Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Canva templates, you’ll need Canva Pro—available for free to eligible nonprofits!

If you're already using Canva Pro, no action is needed on your part.

If you’re using a free Canva account, you’ll still have full access to all the designs saved in your account — nothing will be lost. However, please note that you won’t be able to access any new templates added to the DPIL Canva Toolkit moving forward.

If you can't upgrade to Canva Pro and are not registered as a nonprofit, but you're interested in using a specific template, we’re happy to help! Just send an email request to [email protected], and we can provide a customized version of the design for your use.

Registered as a nonprofit but don’t have Canva Pro yet?
Take these steps to apply:

✅ Step 1: Check Eligibility

You must be a registered nonprofit with a valid nonprofit status. Canva accepts documentation like IRS determination letters (in the U.S.) or other government-issued nonprofit registrations.

Check Eligibility Guidelines to see if you qualify.

📝 Step 2: Submit an Application

  1. Go to the Canva for Nonprofits page
  2. Click “Apply for Canva Nonprofits”
  3. Fill out the form with your organization’s information and upload proof of nonprofit status.

⏳ Step 3: Wait for Approval

Approval usually takes 7-10 business days. Once approved, you and your entire team will have free access to Canva Pro.

We recommend applying as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition before June 2.
